FAQ
Joining
What is Architect Digital?
Architect Digital helps people who live near data centers organize and bargain collectively with the companies building them.
Who can join?
Anyone who lives near a proposed data center. We verify every member’s identity and address so developers know they are dealing with real neighbors.
Does it cost anything?
No. Members pay nothing and buy nothing.
Why do you need my ZIP code?
So we can connect you with neighbors near the same projects.
What happens to my personal information?
We use it to verify your identity and address. See our Privacy Policy for who sees it and how long it is kept.
How does it work?
Residents near a site join a Local Community, and we verify each member. Architect Digital then seeks a forum with the developer, operator or AI company to engage on terms for the households affected.
Who decides whether to accept a deal?
The members do. Households are grouped into tiers by how close they live to the site.
Do I have to support the project?
No. You remain free to speak at public meetings and vote however you choose.
Will I get paid?
Only if your community reaches an agreement with the developer. Engagements may not succeed, and no payment is guaranteed.
Does this replace the deal my town makes?
No. Local officials secure community-wide benefits on behalf of the town. Architect Digital engages for individual households, in addition to whatever the town secures.
About Architect Digital
Are you funded by data center developers?
No. Architect Digital is a venture-backed American company. No data center developer, operator or AI company is an investor in Architect Digital, and none directs our work. When a community engages, we sit on the residents’ side of the table.
Why would a developer engage with a start-up?
Developers canceled more than $260 billion of projects after local backlash this year. A deal with the neighbors may be faster and cheaper than a fight.
Why is Architect Digital a for-profit company?
Major steps forward rarely come from established institutions alone. We are a venture-backed American company because private capital and private-sector tools can build what residents need faster and better.
How does Architect Digital make money?
If an agreement is reached, Architect Digital may earn a fee as part of the deal. Every fee will be disclosed alongside the agreement.
Is this socialism?
No. Architect Digital is a privately funded American company. It takes no government money, it involves no government redistribution, and participation is voluntary. It rests on the same property rights and private agreements behind oil royalties and cell tower leases.
Why does Architect Digital use blockchain?
To keep a public record of every agreement and payment, so anyone can confirm that households received what they were promised. Personal information stays off the chain, and members never need to buy or hold cryptocurrency.
